What to do with your unused Gold

Your jewellery box is a virtual goldmine. Those broken Gold chains, earrings, bracelets plus all the odds and sods are worth money. The question is how much money and who is the best person to sell them to.

There are a few options you have:

1. One of the ways to get good value from your gold is to have new jewellery made with it. This way you can transfer those good memories into a current and wearable style. This also works well with wedding rings you wish to update.

2. Selling your gold will get you fast cash but SELLER beware. This is where the old adage “too good to be true” is sound advice. Most jewellers will buy your gold; remember to deal with someone reputable and local. An upstanding business will not risk its reputation over a few dollars.

3. If you have a significant piece of jewellery to sell you should be looking to sell it privately or with a business that sells estate jewellery. To sell privately you will need a current appraisal. For selling estate jewellery I recommend major cities such as Vancouver or Calgary.
